GREEN: Service Director Randy Monteith said Tuesday that Wise Road is expected to reopen early next week after being closed to through traffic since Jan. 23.
Monteith said the closing was necessitated when a portion of a mine under the roadway collapsed. That caused the road to settle to unsafe limits about 300 feet west of Mayfair Road and 2.6 miles east of Massillon Road.
Monteith and Engineer Paul Pickett estimated the repairs will cost the city less than $15,000.
