GREEN: A Dunkin’ Donuts franchise is about to roll into Green.

Craig Anton, director of operations for the 13-store franchise owned by a Youngstown area father and son, said the facility should be in operation with about 25 employees by the end of March.

The store, with drive-up window open around the clock daily and the inside closed only between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., will be at the southeast end of the Advance Auto complex on east side of Massillon Road at Interstate 77, across from the Circle K gas station.

Anton, a Youngstown resident, said company officials are to meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with the city’s Zoning Appeals Board to seek a required variance for the enterprise, city Planning Director Wayne Wiethe said.

Wiethe confirmed that renovation plans include installation of a drive-up window on the south side of the structure for motorists’ convenience.

This will be the 13th franchise for Joseph White and son “Stew” White in Stark, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio and in Heritage, Pa., according to Anton, who said the father has been in the donut business over 35 years.
