Teens to learn how to kayak safely during Green Parks & Recreation's trip down Tuscarawas River

GREEN: The City of Green’s Park and Recreation Division is hosting a Teen Kayak Adventure day on Aug. 13 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for teens age 13 -17 on the Tuscarawas River beginning at the Trailhead Canoe Livery.

Participants will learn about kayaking equipment and safety while on the water with one-on-one instruction during the six-mile kayak trip. Cost is $20 per teen and must be paid in advance to the Parks and Recreation Division. Payment may be made in person in the Parks’ office, or online at

Space is limited to 12 teens. Transportation is not provided. Participants will meet at the Trailhead Canoe Livery in Massillon.
