Green hosts archery lessons for kids

GREEN: The city’s Park and Recreation division will host four-week archery lessons for 8-15 year olds starting next month.

On March 27, there will be an introduction to the sport before participants commit to a full session of lessons. The class will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. for participants 8 to 11 years old, and from 6:30-8 p.m. for 12-15 years olds.

The fee for the introductory lesson is $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents. 

If participants would like to continue lessons, the four-week program will be held Wednesdays starting April 3. Again, classes for 8-11 year olds will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. 12-15 year olds will meet at 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Southgate Park. The cost is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents.  All equipment is provided.
