The Green Branch Library is starting the new year off with a variety of events for people of all ages, according to the library’s website.
The Cut It Out Coupon Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday to focus on couponing for local grocery stores such as Giant Eagle and Buehler’s.
A Kindle and e-book class will be held at 6 p.m. on Jan. 10 for people who want to learn how to get e-books from the library. Those who wish to attend must sign up in advance and should have prior Internet experience.
“Pete the Cat and Popcorn Pizzazz,” a family event full of Pete the Cat stories, songs and the opportunity to create popcorn treats, will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 12. Sign-ups for this event begins Wednesday.
“Appreciate a Dragon Day” will be held on Jan. 16. The event aims to get children involved in reading and art. There will be an all-day craft session that will allow children to make and take their own dragon crafts. Children can choose their favorite dragon from literature and then read or write about them and draw or paint them. The story-time theme of the day will be dragons.
The annual teen Madden tournament and pizza party for ages 10-20 will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 26. There will be pizza and prizes, and space is limited to 16 players. Sign-ups for this event begin Monday.
