GREEN: Officials at Aqua Ohio, the city's water supplier, will meet soon with City Council to present a proposal for increasing rates.

Mayor Dick Norton said Tuesday that an Aqua Ohio official had contacted him concerning the potential rate hike. He did not disclose any figures.

No date for a follow-up meeting has been set.

Norton said council will have two choices: accept the suggested rate hike or reject it and see what the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio decides for Aqua Ohio.
